All glories to Prabhupada and the Sri Krsna Sankirtan movement of Caitanya Mahaprabhu
Yesterday 4 local devotees in the skagit county area of Washington set up a very colorful(the best one there actually) pandal tent complete with many of Srila Prabhupadas books, continuous tape/DVD playing all day, and distributed to hundreds of people, our books, and Krsna prasadam. We distributed in small cups, a huge pot of saffron rice with almonds, another huge pot of rice pudding, lemonade and around a hundred sweets...FREE...
The event was called the Magic Skagit music festival which has been going on for over 30 years and brings in most of the local peace activists, people to protect farmland, an array of local yoga groups, shamans, healers, etc.
I think all told, only one or two people refused to take some prasadam from us--as for the rest of them--they all came back for seconds, thirds and more...
And of course they all got at least that small booklet called On Chanting Hare Krsna...others purchased small or large books or both. But all were interested in Krsna Katha...
 When you go to such an event and watch other groups and see what they "offer" to the public, it is readily apparant they have almost nothing compared to this ancient philosophy of Krsna Consciousness with all its color,foods, music, knowledge, variety and basically , answers to all of our social, political, physical, mental and spiritual needs.
It is all encompassing because this way of life promotes the vedic culture which took everyone into account-even the animals, plants,and every life form..
 And for us who made it possible and did the actual service for Srila Prabhupada and Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu, well, as it has been said,the proof of the pudding is in the eating....or as Lord Krsna has said, as they surrender to Me I reward them accordingly.
Preaching on behalf of Srila Prabhupada- is the most blissful of all activities.
 One last note--an article on our Krsna Temple in Sedro Wooley complete with many pictures, will be appearing next sunday in the local newspaper...
