KRISHNAS TO
ALL...
On Christmas day many local devotees met at our
home/ashram to have some transcendental fun thru the method
called Krsna kirtan, dancing and feasting on Krsna prasadam. As you can
see from the below photos, not only did the devotees come, but Saci
Suta also brought his huge Jagannatha Deities along. The
first kirtans went on for about an hour straight. Then,
randomly drawing small papers out of a basket passed round the
temple room we read individual slokas from Bhagavad gita,
aphorisms from Canakya pandit, and profound statements from
Jesus Christ out of the Bible--all were drawn randomly out of
a basket and passed again and again around the room where the devotees
each read one and then gave his or her bhasya on that particular
truth. It was fun and interesting to hear each
devotees realizations or even questions about these sastric
statements.
Next we opened presents given to and
from the devotees present --getting
presents-Who doesnt like this?.Some very interesting things came out of
this one....
And lastly was the feast---WOW--I
couldnt believe all the preps that the devotees brought--It seemed like
Janmastami or Gaura Purnima feasting--AND each one was
wonderful....there must have been at least 6 kinds of sweets.
So all together, everyone had a wonderful time,
with just nice devotee association, nice kirtan , nice
prasadam, nice Deities, a rare istagosthi, and NO politics.
It was BLISS
