Hare Krishna Society meets with India's
Speaker of Congress, Mr Prem Singh

 

     On June 28th, 2004 at Govinda's Restaurant in Vrindavana, Yasodanandana Prabhu, of the Hare Krishna Society, met with India's Speaker of Congress, the Honorable Mr Prem Singh, and explained the basics of Krishna Consciousness and the issues facing Srila Prabhupada's Hare Krishna Movement in 2004.  
    Yasodanandana Prabhu joined Mr Singh for prasadam provided by Govinda's Restaurant and  afterwards, while explaining the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra, presented Mr Singh with a copy of the Hare Krishna Society's new publication, "Srila Prabhupada Siddhanta,"  japa-mala and bead bag.    
     Also present were Subodh Dalal Prabhu,  manager of Govinda's Restaurant and Sri Mukunda dasa and Satyam dasa of the Hare Krishna Society and Yasodanandana Prabhu's son Pradyumna, who pleased Mr Singh by reciting sanskrit slokas from the Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad-gita As It Is along with English translations.
